make for the argument over "made" and "just happened"

Brianbear: 04-Oct-2006 14:24:43
that is because nitrogen is relativly inert, it does not react with carbon to release energy like oxygen does

GentleBen: 04-Oct-2006 13:32:22
If our atmosphere is roughly 80% nitrogen and 20% oxygen, why don't we all breathe nitrogen? Think

choochoo68: 03-Oct-2006 23:55:40
just doing my part to lighten the mood lol

Brianbear: 03-Oct-2006 19:35:15
that's good choochoo, oxygen/hydrogen would be a bit explosive and clorine/nitorgen would be hell on the conplexion Rolling Eyes

choochoo68: 03-Oct-2006 19:31:26
the atmospere of the place can make a differance too...i prefer oxygen/nitrogen

Bruin: 03-Oct-2006 14:14:25
GB - Depends on the guy. Wink

GentleBen: 03-Oct-2006 13:34:19
so...the problem is not shyness per se, it's finding places to meet guys in a small group setting...?

GentleBen: 03-Oct-2006 13:30:55
Bruin, OK as far as that goes. What do you do when someone else sits down at that table?

Brianbear: 03-Oct-2006 02:45:46
exactly Bruin

Bruin: 03-Oct-2006 01:26:09
Then, there are those of us who, in a crowded room, seek out the table where no one is sitting.

emanoyhl: 03-Oct-2006 00:13:22
my problem isn't my overall shyness - i just don't know where to meet people - there are no bear events in my area...

emanoyhl: 03-Oct-2006 00:12:51
wow maybe we should continue this conversation into a forum ? hehe

Brianbear: 02-Oct-2006 23:31:16
Who said anything about not having a full life? I just don't enjoy mob sceans, I am not shy on a one on one basis or in small groups.

MassBayBears: 02-Oct-2006 18:55:06
Brianbear - if you're too shy to meet fellas then get help with that. Seriously. It's like saying "I'm afraid to go outdoors", it mean you've got a social problem & you're gonna miss out on a lot of life unless you fix it. Join Toast Masters, see a therapist, do some roleplaying, get a coach, whatever it takes, but don't be complacent and accept "I'm too shy" as reason for being in a corner / alone / disconnected. Everyone is somewhat shy, but if it is interfering with your ability to have a full life then you need to address it.

Brianbear: 02-Oct-2006 14:32:20
GentleBen, I've done that, still ended up looking at a wall of backs, I have also worked registration for bear events. For the former, they are just too tall and I am just to shy to inject myself into a conversation. As to working the registration desk, your just to busy at most events to do any thing else

GentleBen: 02-Oct-2006 13:46:02
Brianbear, don't just sit in the corner! sit (or stand) next to some other guys (like at the bar, if it ain't 3 deep in bears). make a comment/observatio n. ease into chat, then go from there... Cool

GentleBen: 02-Oct-2006 13:43:35
manny, try working a registration desk at an event sometime. guaranteed you'll meet people that way (I have)! Smile

choochoo68: 02-Oct-2006 12:29:01
nice phoenix dress bruin...but where'd the spotlight come from?? LOL

choochoo68: 02-Oct-2006 12:25:16
there you go....the phoenix could rise several times in that manny lol

Bruin: 02-Oct-2006 06:15:46
Maybe I should do sketches for "Project Runway" to execute.

Brianbear: 02-Oct-2006 06:08:28
Now that is what I call an entrance, and a damn spectacular dress as well

Bruin: 02-Oct-2006 06:02:13
Constance makes an entrance. Shocked Read "Bear With Me"

emanoyhl: 02-Oct-2006 05:05:22
how about a BWM jockstrap? heh

choochoo68: 01-Oct-2006 12:19:22
if i can't have a hat i'd much rather have a t-shirt than a mouse pad...can i change mine? lol
