General: Bear Clubs, did you get your copy?

Calling all Bear Clubs across the USA.
Have you received your first print issue of INSIDE Bear Magazine back in February of 2002? We had thought everyone had received an issue by now, however, in the post box the other day was a returned mail, a magazine that had been sent out clearly marked "Mar 05 '02," luckily the return address was on it.
Most issues did not have a return address, and since we just received this returned mail from almost a year ago we were curious if anyone had received the first issue?

General: Meet William Brown!

Well, here we go. I should warn you, I'm a real Chatty Cathy. In fact, as I was typing, I could feel my laptop get heavier. Oh, I almost forgot. In the picture (the only one I really have of me), I'm on the left, my hubby, Bill is in the middle, and on the far right is a cutsie bear. After many many Bud Lights.

General: Smokey Bear

Lightning could be seen in the distant skies overhead as I drove along the road. The sun hadn't set yet, but was casting its colorful effect across the land as a storm was moving in across the city. Oh, how I couldn't wait to get home, take a shower, and relax for the evening after a long day at work, maybe even watch a fuck movie or two to get my rocks off.
I turned on the radio to see what the weather report was going to be like, besides hot, and then listened to some music to help make the drive home better. The traffic was ridiculous as always when the station broke in to report an accident up ahead that had all traffic backed up for ten miles. I was still far enough behind the backed up traffic to avoid it altogether. I took a detour down another road and through the country so I could at least get home with the minimal time delay. It wasn't the best of roads to travel on, not one that I would want to use every day. In fact, it wasn't even paved and I wondered if there was even any civilization down this road. I couldn't find any speed limit sign, so what the hell was I to do?

General: A Coming Out Story

Coming out is never easy. For some, the end results are good, with support coming from all sides, including their own family. Sadly, on the other side of the spectrum, the worst possible scenerio plays out, and the support that is sorely needed just isn't there, leaving a gay person feeling completely alienated. But, right before the words "I'm gay" leave our lips, we all feel the same; like we are walking into a large dark room not knowing if we will find a light source to keep us from stumbling.
At 18, I wasn't thinking about coming out. I wasn't thinking much at all, which is normal for someone at that age. I never really had to come to terms with my sexuality, I had always known that I was attracted to men, so it never came as a surprise. The only surprise that I felt was the day I realized that the fact that I was gay wasn't going to make life as easy for me as for someone who is straight.
