BEAR (BEACH) BALLS 2 PARTY! Salute to Summer 2006
New Year's Day, Sunday, January 1st, 2006
- Who needs the noise and inebriated crowds of New Year's Eve...
when BC offers you our own special (hangover-free) tropical madness.
- Shorts, Speedos, Skin... We're turning up the heat,
so strip off those layers of thermal and flannel,
and show some flesh and fur!
- Come play with the Bears and Big Boys
on our own little slice of faux Muscle Bruin Beach....
with no worries of getting sunburned,
or itchy sand up your butt!
Today, we'll have a clothes check - down to shorts or swimsuits!
($1 a bag) to check those coats and heavy clothing.
Suggested Dress Code:
- shorts
- swimsuits
(one or two-piece, as you prefer)
- athletic and t-shirts
- grass skirts and coconut bras
- Hawaiian shirts
(de rigeur... the brighter and tackier the better)
- lots of skin
(tanned or untanned, with hair a plus)
- sunglasses and sandals
- Hybiscus flowers
(Tops wear it on left side of your hair, Bottoms...)
What's planned at the moment???
- Blindfolded bears beat it hard... a pinata with yummy goodies, that is.
- Y'all get lei'd, like last year!
- Big sweaty bear 'bullies' put 'innocent' admirers in thigh-locks...
playing TWISTER.
- Gorgeous Hawaiian god(dess?) Audie in a grass skirt.
- BC Boardmembers and Deputy Directors in silly hats.

Date: Sunday, January 1st, 2006
Time: 3 - 6 p.m.
Place: The LGBT Community Center,
208 West 13th Street (between 7th/8th avenues), Manhattan.
Cost: $5 for BEAR CAFE members with card; $7 for Non-Members.
All attendees are asked to bring a large bottle of a NON-alcoholic
beverage or an appetizer/fruit/cheese/munchies/dessert to share
potluck style.
