Like I said, my name is Matt and I'm 18 years old. I am partnered to a wonderful man named Daniel. I'm incredibly lucky to have a guy like him. I'm a college student at the University of Memphis and I'm majoring in filmmaking. making movies has been a passion of mine since as long as I can remember.

When most kids were playing "Power Rangers" outside, I was playing with the video camera making music videos and the like. It's turned in to something that occupies a huge portion of my life. I'm in the last stages of post-production now on my first big film, entitled "Closure". If anyone's interested in the film or any of my other work, feeel free to contact me. I love talking about my films. I've been in the progress of writing a bear themed screenplay for a while now. I recently had a breakthough when a member of this sight, actually, gave me permission to use one of his poems in the the film. Thanks again, Joe!

I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to talk about when applying for something like this. Being a film student, I have lots of favorite films: Moulin Rouge, Magnolia, Gladiator, Office Space, Jurassic Park, Monster's Inc., Bringing Up Baby, and so on. Genres aren't really a thing for me. I like lots of different movies.

I don't really have a list of accomplishments. I like to work with kids. For several years I've worked as a counselor at various church camps. I do a lot of community theatre as well. I love acting almost as much as I love directing.

As for the high point of my life, it would definately have to be the night I met the man of my dreams at the bowling alley. I wasn't even going to go out that night. My friend wanted to go bowling, so I reluctantly went along. Sure enough, I accidentally sat in this really hot guy's chair. I apologized profusely and a week later we were dating. It's amazing how life throws you curve balls sometimes.

I'd really like to be the Bear of the Month because it would probably open the door to making some new bear friends. I have a handful of gay friends, but now bear friends. I think this would be a great way for me to befriend a few. Another reason I'd like to be BotM is to show that Bears aren't necessarily older people, and that there is an outlet for younger guys like myself to find acceptance in the gay community through the Bear community.
