hey guys, Fall is already here? and i'm still waiting for summer! here in PA the summer was 90% rain and 9% dreadful heat/humidity....wich left about 10 days of total pure sunshine 70 degree "summer" weather...

what did everyone do this past summer?

my partner and i went to Greece from May 17 - June 9...i will have to post some of the photo's here sometime...well, technically we went in Spring...but it still felt like a nice summer vacation!

we went just before the Olympics, and the road construction was everywhere! we were in Athens, and then went to an island where we relaxed and ate and ate and ate.... : ) hehe

what did you do?

It was a pretty fast summer! I have been fighting the fact that fall would be and now has arrived for quite sometime. I love the sun and the heat of summer and needless to say I did not get much of that in my neck of the woods....BUT I did do some great travelling so it more then made up for it.
1. For my first trip I did the family thing back in Nebraska. My sister got married so my partner and I attended the festivites for that. Always nice to go home and see my folks and siblings. The only downside was A TON of driving was done.
My favorite part of the trip was having a stop over in Toronto on the flight home and seeing The Magnetic Fields play. The show was held at an old cathedral and was the perfect venue for Stephin Merritt. I was almost in tears ....he is just amazing to me.

2. For the second big trip of the summer we went to Boston for a week and then on to Prince Edward Island in Canada for a week at the beach. Both were great fun. I had never been to either place so they were both new and exciting. I am even proud to say I drove in Boston multiple times! LOL ;-)

Spent the rest of the summer avoiding clouds and enjoying our pool. But i can say more time was spent avoiding the clouds..LOL.

Spent most of the summer trying to figure out ways to escape the office, whilst still getting the work done, and spend some time out side enjoying the weather. Was somewhat successful. At least made it up to the cabin in northern Minnesota a few times. Kickin' back, watching the loons, toes in the water and a line out waiting for the big lunker to hit. Ahh, the peace of the woods, and water lapping the shoreline. :wink:

Sounds like a great place minnbearcub. I travel for work and so thats what I did, but it was great fun to see and spend alot of time with family. I also got some new rather famous clients - who turn out to be rather wonderful people.

I worked at my Dad's hardware store- which I loathe, but luckily its my last summer... next summer I shall be living at school and hopefully working as an emt. well see.
