Hello ya'll. I'm a long time lurker of this site but this is my first post. I wanted to ask a small, silly question: How big of an issue is acne to you? I know most probably don't get acne anymore, but I was just curious.

I've been dealing with it since I was 11 but I have been relatively fine with how I looked but now I find that my self-esteem is dropping. I've been to the dermatlogist several times and have taken both OTC and prescription medications for it, but it's stilla problem. I know I shouldn't be concerned with such a silly, teenage thing, but I can't help but hate my appearance for it.

But anyway, I just wanted to get ya'lls thoughts on it.

but in all seriousness acne is a skin condition the best thing to do is seek a dermatologist and go from there...

i've always seen commercials for that pro-something or other that celebrities seem to promote... i forget what it's called...

i still get acne from time to time - well not a lot - just a pimple here and there... mostly "break out" either when after i shave a small beard or when it starts growing in....

maybe others can elaborite...

well i find an exfoliating scrub works best, as it helps clean out the blocked pours that have the potential to become zits and spots,

it also helps to squeeze the blocked pours out by hand after steaming your face in the shower (gross i know but it cutes em down)

to further prevent zits apering try teetree oil or teetree water, it dires the skin out slightly and stops the skin from producing so much grease and yucky stuff that causes spots,

it wont get rid of the ache compleatly but i do find it to keep them in reasonable check,

Me being 20, I usually have at least one pimple or zit on my face. It used to be a lot worse a few years earlier. But now it's cleared up pretty good.

The only thing I can suggest is scrubbing your face really good with some soap and water and to use an acne medication that works best. Also, make sure the soap you use doesn't break you out.
