so who knows the true story of what is happening with the velvet rope nightclub in york, pa?

does anyone know of this?

and is it gone?

this past saturday was supposed to be the last day if they didn't raise enough funds, what happened?

The Velvet Rope has Closed permanently as of Sunday September 25th 2005.

It was an awesome place while it was open, unfortunately, it has lost it's luster for a lot of folks.

ahhh - finally a local lol

i thought it was a great place the first few months when it first opened - then it seemed to go downhill, i thought the music was way too loud - almost ear-piercing and draining especially when there was only 8 people on the floor....and i came back less and less - the pool was too expensive too...but then what did i offer?
i thought maybe they could change the music - add some professional dancers, make it more "fun"

but anyway...

Mmm... guess I won't be checking out the Velvet Rope then. Oh well, I'm with you anyway... the Ranch is my top choice anymore, it doesn't have that communal attitude problem so many other clubs have.
