You have over 2000 users but only on are to post

Yeah no one posts, thats why when I created my account a couple days ago I didn't start.

That is a lot of people to sighn up for a board and not post. It's hard to get the feel for such a huge bunch of people if every one is a lurker.

For attractions, there could be a general poll. And you could send e-mails to everyone (should be an admin command right?) reminding them that this place still exists.

I dunno, just some general topics could be made.

most of the action seems to go on in the shout feature, which is a bit faster, if limited.

it was set up originally to display the contents of the "magazine" - meaning, all the bear authors/storytellers out there are supposed to submit their articles to the site....but not many have.....so, its just been showing updates and bear of the month stuff....

what else can we do to spruce things up?

Perhaps you could break up the forums? For example have a forum thread with the topic "Bear News", in this people could post Bear events in their area or general news articles. Another forum could be named "Bear it all", here members can describe themselves and others can openly ask them questions.

I also like the idea of polls.

i also think that many people who joined this site may be overwhelmed with the many features....best thing to do is navigate the entire site

You have a point there. I was a bit lost at first. I had a bit of trouble figuring out where everything was. Sometimes less is better.

I'm kinda thinking that people might have been a bit blown away with to many options. Although I like brown - I had a little trouble seeing where theings were. A little to dark. Course I could probably use a new monitor as well.

yeah, i am getting a little bored with the brown - especially on the eyes...

there are different "themes" to the site, perhaps it should be activated so users can select their own theme...and viewing pleasure

also - has anyone checked out the FAQ? well, maybe it needs more added to it...
