I saw the movie "A First Sight" the other day. I liked it alot. Val Kilmer is a really good actor, and so is Mira Sorvino (and we know who her WOOFIE DADDY is). And Nathan Lane is in it as well - in a semi-serious role. It is based on a true storey and takes a bit of acting expertise from Val. I reccommend it highly. 2 thumbs up!

i haven't been out to the cinema lately - the last thing i have seen was Constantine (and i have seen it in Athens, Greece with a cousin) - it was great, Keanu Reeves is a pretty good "action" actor - i think they've found his niche, with The Matrix and Constantine - more of a dark-side comic book hero... lol
i like Val Kilmer too - recently bought Top Secret! on dvd - his first flick...LOL

lately I havent seen too many movies, but I guess the most recent would be The Longest Yard. I'm sure it pales in comparison to the original movie, but I enjoyed it - it was entertaining, and had a plot line that was amusing, and its the first good Adam Sandler movie in how long? Also - theres a scene with Bill Goldberg in the shower... Thank you God. *dies with happiness*

I saw a movie last night - made in 1957 - "Across the Bridge" with the Great and Woofie Rod Steiger! It was made avaiable on DVD recently and had been unavaiable since it came out. It is a good one. Especially if you are a fan of the Late Great Mr. Rod Steiger.

I saw the movie, "RENT," on opening day and thought it was brilliant. I had seen the original stage production six times and was very interested to find out how they would translate the play to film. Even though Chris Columbus, the director, had never directed a musical before, his adaptation worked quite well. It helped a great deal having six of the original Broadway cast members in the film. Out actor Anthony Rapp, who plays Mark the young filmmaker and narrator of the piece, has a beautiful singing voice, too. If you're not familiar with the play, it is loosely based on Puccini's "La Boheme," reset in Alphabet City of the Lower East Side of New York City. Jonathan Larson, who wrote the book, music and lyrics, passed away the night before the first preview. It went on to win both the Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize for 1996. This is truly a great rock opera for our time and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in musical theatre, good filmmaking and preserving a portion of our own historical presence.

The last 3 movies I saw were... Fantanstic 4, bery true to the original comic strip but too much story and no action... was very dissapointed when it finished after a 3 minute fight scene.
Madagascar... A lion, zebra, hippo and giraffe all best friends... BRILLIANT! Always a good cheer me up... Or am I just a big kid lol?
War Of The Worlds... A great adaptation of the classics... Has taken a soppy family twist to it though instead of focusing on the big action war/invasion... Nice touch.

Hi everyone! Has everyone seen Brokeback Mountain yet? I think that any gay man seeing the film will cry somewhere during the film, especially at the end. My question is are straight people crying as well?

Hi all,
Went to "Casino Royale" over the Thanksgiving weekend.
The new guy is pretty good. The action is done well and the fx's are
are done very well.
It could be about 45 minutes shorter. All of the hetro sex was a bit
boring.
All in all a good flick.

Sorry, I hate Hollywood. Far too many untalented "pretty" people for my liking and now, with the "special effects" revolution, movie makers spend WAY too much money on effects at the cost of a good story. Last movie I saw was Pan's Labyrinth. Before that I could not tell you.
